Prophetic Painting
I have actually been doing "prophetic art" for years without realizing it. God will speak in my heart, "Draw what you see." and when the picture is done, He will speak to me through the art I just made. The process is like prayer, and the final product speaks something in God's heart that I need to know. The last several weeks God has been speaking to me through color and texture. I will try to get a better picture for the February Scrapbook, but I thought I would post the one I made tonight. I called the file name "fire cocoon". :-) I could tell you what it means, but it's way more fun to hear what everyone else says first.

Art means what the creator plans - I am becoming who my creator intends - anything else is a counterfeit if more, less or different than the creator's intent. So with that thought expressed - AND WITH A SMILE: here are my musings for your appreciation ~
mmm... I am remembering our visit to the Monarch garden (they ARE sort of fire in color and flicker about the top of the trees!) The inside of a cocoon is a private place where the secret has not been revealed to our 21st Century scientists as yet. I know the Holy Spirit is represented often as a flame (Abraham's sleep & God accepting the sacrifices, cloud of smoke by day & pillar of fire by night, consuming fire on mountaintop, Moses & flaming bush, holy ground, Moses & Stephen with major "Son"burned faces, tongues of fire at "birth" of the church, "...let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe; for our God is a consuming fire." Heb. 12:29) as a start (YES-I did have to look-up the specific reference).
Lord Creator, I hang here by a thread, visibly green. Inside I change unspeakably. You protect me while fashioning me to move in ways I cannot understand. Through many changes I have already come;'Twas Grace that brought me safe thus far, and Grace will lead me home.'
